

The Yellows win the Champions Cup and will donate the 12,020 euros prize to the victims of the earthquake in Nepal
The 2015 Champions Cup winners received a well deserved tribute from the fans in El Madrigal, prior to the match against Elche. Javi Calleja’s U19 team entered the pitch and receive the appreciation from the players of both Villarreal and Elche, being present in the starting line-up picture.
The Yellows won against Real Sociedad (3-1), Rayo Vallecano (0-1) and Espanyol (2-3) during the competition, earning a Champion’s prize of 12,020 euros. Following the spirit of the ‘ENDAVANT Solidaritat’ campaign that Villarreal develops continuously during the entire season, the U19 have decided to contribute with this amount to the UNICEF’s charity funding to aid the victims of Nepal’s earthquake.
The U19 will play the UEFA Youth League
As winners of the Champions Cup, competition played between all the U19 regional champions in Spain, Villarreal CF is now the best U19 team in Spain and will join next edition of the UEFA Youth League. This competition has been reserved for the U19 teams of the 32 squads that take part in the Group Stage of the UEFA Champions League, but starting next season this competition will feature 64 teams.
