Villarreal CF paid an emotional tribute to Gerard Moreno for reaching 300 official appearances wearing the groguet shirt.
The Catalan forward becomes the seventh Villarreal player to reach this milestone, behind only Manu Trigueros (477), Bruno Soriano (425), Mario Gaspar (424), Marcos Senna (363), Santi Cazorla (334) and Rubén Gracia ‘Cani’ (327).
On top of that, Gerard holds the honour of being Villarreal CF’s all-time top scorer. The legendary striker has scored 121 goals for the club. Additionally, the academy graduate was one of the key figures in the squad that lifted the UEFA Europa League in 2021, was a finalist in the UEFA Super Cup that same year, and the following season reached the Champions League semifinals.
