The Villarreal CF Supporters’ Association has recognised Radio Vila-real, Villarreal CF’s External Relations department, and the Vila-real Town Council
The Villarreal CF Supporters’ Association (Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF – APV) held the third edition of the José Manuel Llaneza awards this Monday, before the postponed match between Villarreal and Espanyol, in honour and memory of the legendary former yellow vice-president. The fans gave awards to Radio Vila-real, the Villarreal CF External Relations Department and the Vila-real City Council.
The event, held at the remodelled APV headquarters located next to the Estadio de la Cerámica, was led by Javi Pérez, president of the association. As in previous editions, Llaneza’s relatives presented the prizes to the winners. His children, Ángel and Mar Llaneza and his grandson José Llaneza did the honours.
Javi Mata, prestigious and renowned local journalist, with an extensive career spanning more than two decades following Villarreal CF news; Paloma Masó, Cristina Daudén and Mónica Montoya; members of the club’s External Relations Department; and Xus Madrigal and Miriam Caravaca, local town councillors; collected these awards, promoted by the APV as a reward for the dedication and close collaboration of both institutions and the staff who represent them with the supporters and fans of the Submarine.
After the awards ceremony, supporters and award winners toasted to the achievement of survival after doing so last week with the club’s management, coaching staff and players.
