The Yellows beat Zaragoza in the first leg of the Copa del Rey round of 16
Villarreal U19s (Juvenil A) looked good as they started their Copa del Rey campaign by beating Real Zaragoza 2-1 in the first leg of the round of 16. The Yellows’ goals came from Carlo Adriano and Galdón, while Franco got a goal back for the away side in the second half.
The match was between the two Copa de Campeones finalists, a game which saw Real Zaragoza come away victorious on penalties. In fact, the Yellows gave a guard of honour to their opponents.
The first goal in an exciting tie came in the 37th minute. Carlo Adriano managed to get the ball in between a sea of legs in the box, with the ball going in Acín’s right post. It was a few magic seconds, with the goal to make it 2-0 happening in the 38th minute. This time it was Galdón who scored, after cutting in from the right and scoring a great left-footed effort.
