The Trofeo de la Cerámica returns as Villarreal CF face Aston Villa on 10 August at 9:00pm
Villarreal CF will once again host the Trofeo de la Cerámica, with Aston Villa FC as their opponent on Sunday 10 August at 9:00pm at the Estadio de la Cerámica. This iconic summer fixture makes its return following the full renovation of the Yellow Submarine’s home ground.
The match will feature the emotional return of Pau Torres and Unai Emery—two iconic figures in Villarreal CF’s recent history—now wearing Aston Villa colours.
This prestigious friendly will also serve as Villarreal CF’s final pre-season fixture, just five days before their LaLiga opener against Real Oviedo, scheduled for Friday 15 August at 9:30pm, also at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Friendly confirmed against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium
Villarreal CF have announced a new pre-season fixture: a friendly against Arsenal FC on Wednesday 6 August at 7:00pm (CET) at the Emirates Stadium. With this and the previously confirmed match against Aston Villa, the Yellow Submarine’s 2025/26 pre-season schedule is now complete.
