Fran Escribá emphasized that the Yellows showed once again that they are a team you can rely on
After the win against Osasuna (1-4), the Villarreal Manager, Fran Escribá, explained that his team showed once again that they are in good form. “It was an away game against the team in last place, but we knew it wasn’t going to be easy at all. We came here off the back of a hard blow at home and we needed to focus. The team has had our strategy clear all year. Of course, we’ve had some problems throughout the season, obviously, but the level of the squad has always been high. I think this team has shown they are in good form for some time now”.
With regard to the match against the side from Navarra, the Yellows Manager said that one of the keys was scoring early on. “To take the lead early on was key. We knew where we could hurt them, but to do that you have to work really hard, as we saw. Osasuna are a tough team and they’re ground is difficult to play at. The Osasuna fans are very supportive and, although they were losing, they don’t stop pressuring until the match is over”.
