Representing the club, Villarreal CF ambassador Marcos Senna and Valencia CF footballer Kiko Femenía will attend the re-inauguration ceremony of the sports facility, which will be led by the town’s mayor, Lorena Silvent.
The fourth operational pitch rebuilt with a donation from Villarreal CF
The municipal football pitch in Catarroja is the fourth of the five football pitches to be rebuilt by Villarreal CF with its financial donation. The fields of La Torre, Beniparrell and Encrucijadas in Aldaia, already reopened, have recovered normality and sporting practice thanks to the efficient work of the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso.
These facilities, and those of Catarroja, will be joined in the coming weeks by the football pitch of the Polideportivo Joan Girbés in Algemesí, which is currently immersed in the work of reinstalling the grass and replacing sports equipment.
‘Alcem-se Esport’
After the flooding in Valencia, more than 350 sports clubs of all disciplines need support to resume their activity with some degree of normality. In addition to the plan presented by the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso and Valencia Basket, which amounted to €4 million, Villarreal CF decided to make a contribution of €2 million.
