Mario warns that “there are twelve LaLiga games left and we have to give our all for every point”
Mario is an important footballer in Fran Escribá’s Villarreal side. The right back has played 2,797 minutes so far this season across 32 matches, in the LaLiga (25), Copa del Rey (3), UEFA Champions League Play-off (2) and UEFA Europa League (2) competitions. In the last match against RCD Espanyol at the Estadio de la Cerámica he provided the assist for Roberto Soriano’s goal.
Now, Mario is only thinking about the final stretch of the league championship: “There are twelve games left and we have to give our all for every point. A victory can take you closer to a Champions League spot. We’re going to fight until the end”.
With regard to the upcoming match against Celta, Mario said: “Games away from home are always tough. Even more so against a team like Celta who are playing in Europe and are a great team. When the end of the season is approaching it is really difficult to pick up points at home or away. We’re going to have to have a great match in order to come away with the three points”.
