Schools from the province of Castellón can now sign up to take part in the 8-a-side competition at the Training Ground
Villarreal CF has brought back the Schools’ Tournament. Thanks to the Endavant Club Groguet programme, schools from the province of Castellón can register to take part in this fun and iconic 8-a-side competition, which will take place during the 2025/26 season on the pitches of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground.
The tournament is open to 5th Year Primary School pupils (born in 2015). Teams can be boys, girls, or mixed, at the school’s choice, and must have a minimum of 10 registered players, with matchday squads made up of a maximum of 25 boys and/or girls. If the minimum number of players cannot be reached, the team may be completed with 4th Year pupils (born in 2016).
As the grand finale, the Schools’ Tournament finals will be held at a Champions League venue: the Estadio de la Cerámica.

The Schools’ Tournament: Villarreal revives a sporting classic in our province.
Villarreal CF has brought back the Schools’ Tournament, an exciting 8-a-side football competition that marked an entire generation of youngsters across the province of Castellón during the 2000s.
Through the Endavant Club Groguet programme, the Yellows will once again promote this fun tournament among pupils from schools all over Castellón. It is an enjoyable way to encourage sporting activity and to teach the values of sport, while also bringing young people from across our region together through football.
