Miguel Álvarez has underlined the importance of facing a direct opponent, with the head-to-head record up for grabs
Villarreal B head coach, Miguel Álvarez, appeared before the media this Friday to analyse the preview of the upcoming match against CF Fuenlabrada, which will be played this Saturday, at 4pm CEST, at the Mini Estadi at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground.
“We have two very important home games coming up. First against Fuenlabrada and then against Algeciras. We have to make the most of them. We have to do it because they are two direct rivals. Now factors such as the head-to-head record and other details that can end up being decisive come into play,” said the coach from Jaén in his first intervention.
Regarding the team from Madrid, Miguel Álvarez has warned of their main virtues: “They are a team with a lot of experience in the league. They play a more associative game away from home. They also dominate direct play and at set pieces they are a complicated side. It will be a difficult match, like all the others in this division.”
After the defeat in Alcorcón (2-1), Miguel Álvarez stresses the importance of getting strong results at home in the final stretch of the season: ‘I’m expecting a very difficult game, like all the others in this league, which is attractive and very competitive. There is an added value in this second round, which is playing at home. We have to win these games. Now we have two home games in a row to fight for it.”
