This past week the performances of tennis player Roberto Bautista, who got to the final of the Masters 1000 in Shanghai, and the medals won by cyclist Sebastián Mora in the Spanish track cycling Championships in Palma stand out. The tennis player from Castellón fell in the final of the Masters 1000 in Shanghai to Scotsman Andy Murray (7-6, 6-1), after a brilliant tournament, knocking out Novak Djokovic (6-4, 6-4) in the Semi-finals, Wilfried Tsonga (6-3, 6-4) in the Quarter-finals and Viktor Troiki (6-3, 6-3) in the Round of 16. After this recent success, Bautista moves up to 13th in the world rankings.

The cyclist from Vila-real made his debut in the Spanish track cycling Championships in Palma, winning a gold medal, three silvers and a bronze. He is now preparing for the European Championships in Paris.

She won in the first round against Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia) 7-6 and 6-4.

Vicent Sos’s handball girls took down Muchoticket Puchi 33-28 in Ibiza. BM Castellón won relatively comfortably always having a 3 or 4 goal lead throughout, giving them enough of a cushion to take the victory.
