The sports facility is the third to be rebuilt with Villarreal CF’s donation to the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso’s ‘Alcem-se Esport’ programme
Villarreal CF will be present on Monday 10th March, at 5pm, at the reinauguration of the Encrucijadas Municipal Field in Aldaia, which was rebuilt after being devastated by the flooding in Valencia thanks to the donation of €2million made by the Yellows to the ‘Alcem-se Esport’ programme, the aid plan for sports clubs affected by the flooding, promoted by Juan Roig’s sports patronage and channelled through the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso and Valencia Basket Club.
Villarreal CF ambassador Marcos Senna and footballer Ayoze Pérez will attend the re-inauguration of the sports facility, which will be led by the mayor of the town, Guillermo Luján, and the director of the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso, Juan Miguel Gómez.
The third operational pitch out of the five to be rebuilt by Villarreal CF
The Encrucijadas municipal ground in Aldaia is the third of the five football pitches to be rebuilt by Villarreal CF through its donation. Fields in La Torre and Beniparrell, both reopened, have already returned to normality and sporting practice thanks to the efficient work of the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso.
These two facilities, and those of Aldaia, will be joined in the coming weeks by the municipal football pitch of Catarroja and the Joan Girbés sports centre in Algemesí, which are currently immersed in the work of relaying the turf and providing the sports equipment.
‘Alcem-se Esport’
After the flooding in Valencia, more than 350 clubs from a wide range of sporting disciplines need support to resume their activities with a certain degree of normality. To the plan presented by the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and Valencia Basket, which amounted to €4million, Villarreal CF decided to make a contribution of €2million.
