The prestigious Groguet Easter tournament kicked off this morning with the group‑stage matches
The Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter 2026 is underway! After the spectacular opening ceremony held yesterday afternoon at the Estadio de la Cerámica, the ball started rolling with the beginning of the group stage across the 12 venues hosting the competition: Vila-real (Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, Ciutat Esportiva Pamesa, CEM Pau Torres, Fundació Flors), La Vall d’Uixó (José Mangriñán and La Moleta), Benicàssim (Torre San Vicente and La Carrerassa), Les Alqueries (Instalaciones Deportivas de Les Alqueries), Nules (Noulas Antonio Pérez Balada) and Almassora (Municipal José Pesudo and Municipal Les Boqueres).
All 268 participating teams will enjoy the group-stage fixtures throughout Friday, 3 April, both in the morning and afternoon. The tour of the Estadio de la Cerámica will also begin for players, coaches and accompanying family members.
Starting on Saturday, the qualification phase will get underway, with the gold, silver and bronze brackets, while the Estadio de la Cerámica continues to host guided tours for the participants. In the evening, the Groguet stadium will dress up to host the leaders’ dinner, aimed at fostering a positive tournament atmosphere and rewarding the teams with the highest scores from the opening day.
Finally, on Sunday, the final phase of the tournament will take place, featuring semi-finals and finals. From 13:00 onwards, the closing ceremony will begin on pitch 6 at the Ciudad Deportiva, including the trophy presentation for champions and runners-up, as well as awards for top scorers and MVPs in all categories.
