The Galician full-back has extended his contract with Villarreal CF for the next two seasons
Villarreal CF and Daniel Esmoris Tasende (Coristanco, 06/07/2000) have agreed to extend the Galician player’s contract with the Submarine, who was already tied to the club until 30 June 2025, for another season, meaning he will represent the Yellows until 2026.
A key hope for the club’s future
Tasende, or ‘Esmo’, as he is known to his teammates, is a left-back with a great range on the wing and the ability to join the attack. With Villarreal B, he earned the historic promotion to the second division and was also part of the team that achieved survival in the league, bringing quality and solidity to the team, as well as goals and assists of great quality. He has played 101 official games for the Mini Submarine, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists. Last season, he played in 38 of the 42 league matches under Miguel Álvarez, being a key player in the team’s success.
Tasende made his debut with the first team on 30th November 2021 in the Copa del Rey, precisely against a Galician team – Victoria CF (0-8). In addition, at the start of last season, he was called up for the two matches of the UEFA Conference League preliminary round against Hajduk Split.
