Villarreal CF will face the English side this Tuesday at Hotspur Way (2pm CEST)
Villarreal CF has announced the 22-player squad that will travel to London, alongside the first team, to play against Tottenham Hotspur in what will be the academy side’s opening match in the UEFA Youth League.
The Yellow Submarine youngsters will face the English side this Tuesday at 2pm CET at Hotspur Way.

Format of the 12th edition of the UYL
The UEFA Youth League includes the 36 youth teams of the clubs that have qualified for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, in addition to a parallel path involving the national champions of UEFA member federations.
From the 36 participating teams in the Champions League path, the top 22 teams will qualify for the Round of 32. From then on, the knockout rounds will be played as single-leg ties.
In the Round of 32, the clubs ranked first to sixth (Champions League path) will face those ranked 17th to 22nd, while those ranked 7th to 16th will play against the ten clubs advancing from the domestic champions path.
From the Round of 16 onwards, the draw will be open. The final four (semifinals and final) will be held at the Colovray Sports Centre in Nyon, Switzerland.
