

Villarreal beats Granada with a Bruno goal and makes it nine matches without a loss
Solid. Villarreal got 3 golden points against Granada thanks to the only goal by Bruno Soriano from the penalty spot. This result means the Submarine secures their fourth place in the table that bit more and makes it nine games without losing in the league, with seven wins and two draws.
The first to try their luck was the Submarine. In the 2nd minute Bruno made space and crossed from the left wing to Bakambu whose effort went wide.
From the 18th to 28th minute the game went crazy. Success forced Areola to make a great save and seconds later Villarreal counter attacked, a Jonathan dos Santos cross found Soldado who shot twice but missed.The Yellow number 9 couldn’t convert on this occasion.
In the second half, after another great Bakambu chance, the 1-0 came. Soldado provoked the penalty from Babin and the referee didn’t hesitate to point to the spot. Bruno Soriano tricked goalkeeper Andrés Fernández completely to put Villarreal on the score sheet. It was the captain’s fifth goal of the season in the league and seventh in the season counting the UEFA Europa League (2).
For the rest of the match Villarreal were solid at the back against a Granada side that were incapable of creating any danger for Areola.
