Villarreal’s number 9 scored again in Vigo and now has two goals in four games
Roberto Soldado has come back ‘on fire’ for the Yellow Submarine. The Villarreal striker scored again against Celta de Vigo at the Balaídos stadium and now has two goals in the four matches he has played after coming back from injury (three in the LaLiga Santander and one in the UEFA Europa League). The Submarine are in fifth place in the table and the Yellows number 9 is ambitious about the future: “We’re looking more up than we are down. We will fight for that fourth place until the end”.
Soldado scored the only goal of the match at the Balaídos stadium and for this reason has been chosen as the Five Star Player. The Yellows forward also saidd: “Yes, I have just come back from quite a serious injury, but when you’re on the pitch you forget everything and what you want is to be on the pitch and try to help your team, and even more so when the results are going your way, then you want to be out there more than ever”.
With regard to Villarreal’s upcoming match against Las Palmas (Friday, 8:45pm CET), Soldado stated: “We have to keep being as solid as we are and get another win away from home against Las Palmas”.
