Villarreal CF and Conquistando Escalones reward Yellows fans’ solidarity
Villarreal CF and ‘Conquistando Escalones’ have strengthened their bond this season with a series of activities destined to raise money for the association founded by people affected by Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD-1F). One of these is the ‘1 Euro to the Muscular Dystrophy and AIDS for each Roberto Soldado goal,’ in which many fans participated and now it is time for the reward: a signed Roberto Soldado shirt.
The Yellow number 9 finished the season with a total of 9 goals, so now, Conquistando Escalones will raffle a signed Roberto Soldado shirt for all the fans who are up to date with the solidary payment. Those who have not signed up yet can do it and make the indicated donation for a chance to win the prize. Both the fans who have made the payment and those who want to pay it now have until 1st July 2016, when the winner of the shirt will be announced.
The deposit can be made via Paypal, and is as simple as typing in the amount and clicking in “donar” at this link: https://goo.gl/F0uAbc or making a donation to the account number: ES69 0487 0539 2120 0000 1357.
Can’t remember how much you’ve paid? Have any queries? Contact Conquistando Escalones on their Facebook Conquistando Escalones. Remember that are many other ways to help the association: http://www.conquistandoescalones.org/web/en/how-to-help-us/
A medical alliance of four parties
Conquistando Escalones is an Association founded by people affected by Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD-1F). A family from Vila-real has suffered for more than 8 generations from a genetic mutation that makes them have this disease.
In various investigations it has been discovered that the protein affected in the said disease is the same as that which reproduces HIV, with the result being that the mutation of this gene makes them immune to AIDS. For this reason, finding the cure for this muscular disease could also mean the end of HIV.
This research involves four parties represented by José Alcamí (Carlos III Health Institute, Madrid), Juan Vilchez (‘La Fe’ Hospital, Valencia), Rubén Artero (University of Valencia) and Ramón Martí (‘Vall d’Hebron’ Hospital, Barcelona). They all need funds to carry out this investigation and find the cure for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD-1F) and AIDS.
