    Asenjo has undergone a successful operation in Madrid

    The Villarreal goalkeeper was operated on at the Clínica Cemtro

     

    Villarreal goalkeeper, Sergio Asenjo, has undergone a successful operation this afternoon at the Clínica Cemtro in Madrid, reconstructing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, which he injured in the match against Real Madrid (26th February) at the Estadio de la Cerámica. The Yellows number 1 was operated on by doctors Antonio Maestro, Pedro Guillén and Isabel Guillén, and the First Team doctor, Pablo Vera, was also in attendance.

    The club would like to wish our goalkeeper a speedy and smooth recovery. Get well soon Sergio! #ÁnimoAsenjo
