The defender is a big fan of cycling and a big admirer of Alberto Contador
Cycling is one of Rubén Peña’s favourite pastimes. Since an early age, the defender has been a follower of the sport, which he also takes part in during his free time, as he says in an interview with Villarreal TV.
A fan of Alberto Contador, the footballer from Ávila decided to take part in the cyclist’s charity auction, where he put up his Giro 2011 winning bike to raise funds for the Red Cross in their battle against COVID-19.
Donating a significant amount of money, Peña won not only the Spanish cycling legend’s bike, but also the knowledge that he was helping those who most needed it during this coronavirus pandemic.
