Roger is impressed with how Villarreal B are playing ahead of the Hércules match
Villarreal B defender Roger Riera has appeared in front of the media to analyse the great form the Yellows Reserves find themselves in: “We’re feeling great. We’ve been playing really complete matches and playing good football. We’re imprinting a high intensity to the match. We’ve got better in defence and we’re attacking really well, creating chances and scoring goals.”
After winning the top-of-the-table duel with Lleida Esportiu (3-1), Miguel Álvarez’s side face another test this weekend against Hércules CF: “We’re going to a tough ground to visit and we’re facing a big team that have everything to be at the top of our league. Despite that, we’re facing them in our best moment of the season, both in form and feelings.”
The Catalan defender hailed the team’s commitment, and the hard work of the coaching staff, underlining both factors as key to the good season so far: “This team has been working at a high level for two years. We’re a young team, with many players coming from Villarreal C. We all work hard. There’s a culture of getting stronger and working hard and that’s bearing fruit. The coaching staff’s work is also vital. They have us all focused and have the trust of each and every member of the squad.”
