He joined the Yellows Academy at 17 years old and has grown as a player and a person dressed in yellow. Rodrigo Hernández was very grateful to Villarreal CF in the event that was held to officially announce his contract renewal with the Yellow Submarine until 30th June 2022. “This club has given me everything since I arrived in the U19. Rodrigo Hernández (Madrid, 22/06/1996) came to the club in the 2013/14 season from the Atlético de Madrid youth academy to keep growing as a player at the Yellows Academy. He has already played 57 official matches for the first team in which he has scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists. Currently, the Madrid born centre midfielder is an international with Spain U21 and previously with Spain U19.
