The tennis star from Castellón will stay linked to the Yellow Submarine through the Endavant Esports programme
Roberto Bautista has renewed his association with Endavant Esports for another year. The sports sponsorship programme is part of the Endavant project and includes a total of 30 clubs, 28 sportsmen and women and 7 competitions in the province of Castellón.
A lifelong Yellow
Roberto Bautista Agut (Benlloch, Castellón, 14th April 1988) has been linked to Villarreal CF practically all his life, as Bautista was part of the club’s academy until he was a teenager.
After swapping football for tennis rackets, the player from Castellón has followed Villarreal CF closely as a loyal fan, visiting the stadium to watch the Groguets on countless occasions.
It was in 2020 when this bond became even closer, becoming part of the Endavant Esports programme, thus becoming one of its great standard-bearers.
Among the most outstanding sporting milestones of the tennis player from Castellón is the ninth place in the ATP ranking in 2019, being the best classification of his career. That same year, he reached the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Grand Slam and was proclaimed Davis Cup champion with the national team.
These successes led him to receive, in December 2019, the Villarreal CF gold badge and the Endavant Award for Sporting Merit 2019.
Endavant Esports, a boost and growth for provincial sport
The spirit of Endavant Esports is to contribute to the promotion and growth of sport in the province of Castellón, as part of the club’s social commitment to its local surroundings, trying to repay the province of Castellón for the support it receives from them. The project consists of financial and sporting support, as the club, as well as providing financial benefits to the members of the project, also offers its medical services, the use of the facilities and all the means at its disposal to promote the development of the sportsmen and women involved in the programme.
