Miguel Álvarez has called up 20 players for this Wednesday’s match against Dinamo Zagreb (8pm CEST)

Villarreal B manager has unveiled the list of players who will be heading to England to take on the first game of the Premier League International Cup Group A, which sees the Yellows U23s take on Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday at 8pm Spanish time (7pm local time) at Aldershot Town FC’s Ebb Stadium.

The aim of the Premier League International Cup,, is to encourage and improve youth football on British socials, giving a formative academy for youngsters across Europe. The competition is made up of 24 teams, 12 British sides and 12 other invited clubs from across Europe, who have history of a strong academy, including Villarreal CF.

The Yellows have been drawn in Group A alongside Arsenal, Leicester City and Dinamo Zagreb.

The following 20 players are travelling:

Goalkeepers: Josele, Diego Fuoli.

Defenders: Migue, Dani Tasende, José Manuel, Pepe Castaño, Goyo, Carlos Blanco.

Midfielders: Beitia, Baena, Fran Álvarez, Morante, Agüero, Ramón Bueno, Akale, Iván Martín, Lozano.

Forwards: Villa, Millán, Diego Collado.

Travel plan

The Yellows will leave from Castellón Airport this afternoon (6:20pm CEST) heading to London Stansted. Once in England, the Yellows will stay at the Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa. The return to Spain will be at Castellón Airport on Thursday, at around 5:40pm CEST.
