The captains from both teams will take to the pitch accompanied by dogs to promote the adoption of abandoned canines
Villarreal CF have prepared a series of activities for the preview of the match against RCD Espanyol, which will be played on Sunday 27th April, at 4:15pm, at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The pre-match festivities will kick off at 2.15pm in the square adjacent to the Estadio de la Cerámica’s Fondo Sur with the start of the Fan Zone, which will feature the final day of the 3v3 Tournament, the Play Zone, a craft workshop, face painting and inflatables.
Espardenya Groga will be in charge of organising the pre-party at the headquarters of the Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF (APV – Official Villarreal CF Supporters’ Association). To round off, the members of the supporters’ club from La Vilavella will take to the pitch in the run-up to the game to have their photograph taken with the Submarine’s starting XI.
Before kick-off, in a novel initiative, the captains from each side will take to the pitch accompanied by two dogs, Pinpin and Abril, with the aim of encouraging the adoption of abandoned dogs and raising awareness of the work of the AUPA (Adopta Un Perro Abandonado) shelter, with which the club has a collaboration agreement as part of the Endavant programme.
The protagonist of ‘Canine Art’ (“Arte Canino) is Swatch, a friendly and cheerful medium-sized podenco mongrel, nine years old, who is looking for a family to take him in and a new home to live in. Find out more about him and adopt him: https://adoptaunperroabandonado.es/swatch
