The left-sided player underlined that the team is excited about the possibilities of reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals
Alfonso Pedraza appeared in front of the media in a remote press conference to analyse the upcoming second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals against GNK Dinamo Zagreb at the Estadio de la Cerámica (Thursday, 9pm CEST). The defender underlined that the team is motivated against the challenge of reaching a European semi-final: “It’s a very important match. We have a big challenge ahead of us, which is reaching the semi-finals of a European competition. We’re fully motivated.”
To reach that objective, Pedraza says the best option is to not speculate, and try and get the win at the Estadio de la Cerámica: “We need to go out there and try and win. We are playing at home and we want to impose the tempo of the game. In the two previous rounds, we got good results in the first leg, and we still went for a win in the second leg. This time, it needs to be the same.”
Finally, Pedraza expects a tough tie against the Croatian team: “They’re a very intense team. In the first leg, they made things difficult. I’m expecting a good match where, hopefully, we can get into the semi-finals.”
