The Catalan footballer arrived to strengthen the Sara Monforte’s side in defence ahead of their first season in the top flight
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with the footballer Paolo Soldevila, who will play for Villarreal Women for the upcoming 2021/22 season. The defender arrives as a free agent after having played for RCD Espanyol for the previous two campaigns.
The Catalan defender is the sixth summer signing ahead of Sara Monforte’s side top-flight debut. As well as Soldevila, the Yellows have brought in Nerea Pérez, Tere Morató, Pamela Tajonar, Raquel Pinel and Zaïra Flores.
Versatility in defence for the Yellows
Paola Soldevila de la Pisa (07/12/1996) is a footballer who will bring her experience and leadership to Villarreal Woman. As well as being able to play at centre-back, she can play as a defensive midfielder or a full-back, strengthening the Yellows at the back. The defender has previously also played for Nàstic, Sant Gabriel and Real Sociedad, with whom she won the Copa de la Reina in 2019/20.
