Villarreal vs Atlético will take place on Friday 6th December at 9pm CET at the Estadio de la Cerámica
Today, the Madrid Commercial Court Number 12 has decided to not take cautionary action against the authorisation of the RFEF for the celebration of an official LaLiga match in Miami, United States, as LaLiga had requested, alongside Villarreal CF and Atlético Madrid, for their tie corresponding to Matchday 16 of the current season.
Villarreal CF wishes to underline its complete respect for a decision that does not prejudge the substance of this case, which will be resolved definitively in February 2020.
It is a long-term strategy for international growth, so we hope that from that date, LaLiga can carry out the organisation of an official match beyond our borders.
Bringing clubs closer to their global fans represents an important opportunity to connect with them and would continue working on the growth of LaLiga worldwide. This international growth benefits the clubs, players, fans, LaLiga itself, Spanish football and the Spain brand.
Because of this, Villarreal vs Atlético Madrid, corresponding to Matchday 16, will take place on Friday 6th December at 9pm CET at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
