Jaume Costa has underlined his optimism and trust in the team’s ability to turn things around
Villarreal left-back Jaume Costa appeared in front of the media to analyse the current situation regarding the club. Costa underlined that there is still time to turn results around: “There are 19 LaLiga matches left. The most important thing is to approach each game like a final, leave everything on the pitch, and we’re doing that, we’re conscious that we need everyone to give their all..
Costa also underlined how grateful he was for the support from the stands: “After the most recent game, we’ve received the most support on social networks and in the street. I see people getting involved, and the last few years have been a reward for all this support, and all the work we’ve put in together.”
The Yellow Submarine’s No.11 highlighted that the team is working to try and improve, and hopes for a reaction in upcoming matches: “This year, things are going badly, but now more than ever, we need to be united. We are in a difficult moment, but we’re positive, as we had a lot of matches to turn things around. We’re a united team and we know we need to support one another.”
Finally, the Valencian defender emphasised the importance to continue working hard: “We can still improve and get better. To do that, we are going to give our all. I believe a lot in this team and in this club.”
