The defender from Alicante will continue to lead the Yellow Submarine during the 2025/26 season
Villarreal CF and Nerea Pérez have reached an agreement for the renewal of the Alicante-born footballer, who will continue to represent the Yellows for another season, until 30th June 2026.
Heart and experience
Nerea Pérez Machado (Benidorm, 11/01/1994) is set to embark on her fourth season in yellow. She is one of the team’s captains and joined Villarreal CF in 2021 from CD Santa Teresa. Although her main position is right-back, she can also play as a winger, standing out for her pace and one-on-one ability.
She has made over 100 appearances for Villarreal CF and is a leader both on and off the pitch. Nerea Pérez has also represented Spain at youth international level, winning bronze at the U17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago and silver at the U19 European Championship in Turkey.
