The academy players took part in Spain U18’s victory against Japan in the third and final match (4-0)
Yellows Academy youngsters Iván Morante and Alejandro Baena were part of the Spain U18 side named Copa del Atlántico champions in Gran Canaria. The Villarreal U19s A (Juvenil A) players took part in the thrashing of Japan in the third and final match of the tournament (4-0). Both started the game, and were substituted in the second half. Morante played 80 minutes, while Baena was on the pitch for 57 minutes.
Spain U18s’ goals against Japan came from Gutiérrez, Barrenetxea, Losada and Cedric Wilfred.
Spain U18s’ results in the Copa del Atlántico were as following:
- Tuesday, 5th February: Spain vs Serbia (3-1).
- Wednesday, 6th February: Spain vs Canary Islands (7-1).
- Friday, 8th February: Spain vs Japan (4-0).
