Cáseres suffers a grade two medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee
After the tests carried out over the weekend, it can be confirmed that Villarreal CF’s Santi Cáseres suffered a grade two medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee during the second half of the match against Girona FC on Friday.
Those tests also confirmed that the Argentine midfielder has not suffered damage in the anterior cruciate ligament, which means the player does not need surgery.
His recovery is expected to take 8 to 10 weeks.
