We’re proud of the players. Our plan is to keep improving and get back to the way were doing things better”, Marcelino commented.
According to the Submarine manager, Granada were a tough rival. After tonight’s win Villarreal is safe in fourth place, where they will aim to stay until the end of the league season. “We will be able to keep up this rhythm. This time we were intense, dynamic and we got to their goal. We made their goalkeeper work and on the attacking side I think we played well. The second round of matches is going to be very tough and the scores are going to be close. We have to demand the best from ourselves, always keeping in mind the difficulty of the competition”, concluded Marcelino.
