Javi Calleja chooses 18 players for the match at the Wanda Metropolitano (Saturday, 6:30pm CEST)
Villarreal CF Manager, Javi Calleja, has announced his list of players for this Saturday’s LaLiga Santander match against Atlético Madrid. The match, corresponding to Matchday 10, will be played at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium at 6:30pm CEST (live on beIN LaLiga).
18 chosen players:
- Goalkeepers: Barbosa and Cantero.
- Defenders: Mario Gaspar, Rukavina, Jaume Costa, Álvaro, Víctor Ruiz and Bonera.
- Midfielders: Trigueros, Rodrigo, Soriano, Samu Castillejo, Fornals, Cheryshev and Ramiro Guerra (number 26).
- Strikers: Bacca, Bakambu and Sansone.
Injured
- Ruben Semedo: Rectus femoris in right leg.
- Sergio Asenjo: Lumboscialtagia.
- Andrés Fernández: Tear of anterior cruciate ligament in right knee.
- Bruno Soriano: Osteophyte on anterior tibial tuberosity in left leg.
Travel Plan
The Yellows will set off at 6:10pm today from Joaquín-Sorolla train station on a high speed train (AVE) to Madrid Puerta Atocha station. Once there, the Yellows will travel to the Westin Palace Madrid Hotel by coach. Two hours before the match, to be played this Saturday, the Yellow Submarine will leave the hotel to go to the Wanda Metropolitano stadium to take on Atlético Madrid. Villarreal’s return journey will commence as soon as the game has finished on Saturday night.
