Villarreal CF and Algeciras CF have reached an agreement for the signing of the Argentine centre-back, who has signed a two-year deal
Villarreal CF and Algeciras CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Lautaro Spatz, who will join the Yellows’ B team under the management of David Albelda. The 23-year-old Argentine centre-back has signed for the Yellow Submarine for the next two seasons, until June 2027.
Lautaro Marco Spatz di Lorenzo (Buenos Aires, 19/10/2001) has experience in both Primera and Segunda Federación. He began his football career at CD Puerto Malagueño before moving to the Elche CF academy, later joining Cádiz CF, where he played for the reserves and made his first-team debut in a Copa del Rey match during the 2022/23 season. After a short spell in Uruguayan football, he returned to Spain to sign for Antequera CF and then Algeciras CF.
Villarreal B believe his experience across different divisions and his defensive solidity will be key to meeting the objectives set by David Albelda for the 2025/26 season.
Eighth signing for the Groguet B team
With the arrival of Lautaro Spatz to strengthen the defence, David Albelda’s side have now made eight signings ahead of the new campaign: midfielders Cheikh Thiam and Pablo Pascual, defenders Eneko Ortiz, Isma Sierra and Iván Rodríguez, goalkeeper Yakiv Kinareikin, and forward Pablo Arenzana.
