

The U19s will face the island-based side in Vera (Almería) on Monday 2nd May at 5pm CET
The Villarreal U19s A team now know their first opponent for the Champions Cup (Copa de Campeones), that will be played in Vera (Almería) from 1st to 7th May. The draw, which took place at midday today in the headquarters of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF), saw Villarreal pitted against UD Las Palmas for the Quarter-finals, a match that will be played at the Estadio Municipal Las Viñas on Monday 2nd May at 5pm CET.
If the Yellows, who are title defenders after winning the cup last year, get through against the team from Gran Canaria they will play in the Semi-finals against the winner of the match between Málaga CF and Athletic Club (Wednesday 4th May, 6:30pm CET). The final will take place on Saturday 7th May at 7pm CET.
The UD Las Palmas U19s have got to the Semi-finals of the Champions Cup after winning Group VI in the Honour Division (División de Honor) with 83 points, 23 more than second placed CD Tenerife. The islanders ended the season with 106 goals for and only 14 against.
In this way, Javi Calleja’s side will face a new challenge after winning Group VII in the U19 Honour Division in the penultimate game of the season (28), after thrashing Torre Levante Orriols (5-1). Then the Yellows sealed the deal in their two last games with wins against Valencia CF (1-2) y ADM Lorquí (8-2).
For the final stages Villarreal CF, UD Las Palmas, Málaga CF and Athletic Club have been drawn into Group B, and from there Villarreal will face either Málaga or Bilbao in the Semi-finals, while Group A features ties between Racing de Santander vs RCD Espanyol, and Atlético de Madrid vs Sevilla.
