Santi Cazorla represented Villarreal CF in the macro-concert which raised more than a million euros
LaLiga Santander Fest, the macro-concert organised by LaLiga, in collaboration with their sponsors, raised 1,003,532 Euros, which will go towards purchasing material to help fight the effects brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 50 million people in 182 countries watched the historic virtual event, where more than 30 top artists and footballers from all LaLiga sides took part. Midfielder Santi Cazorla represented Villarreal in this charity event.
With the money raised, thanks to ‘LaLiga Santander Fest’, the following can be bought:
- 115 non-invasive ventilators
- 1,435,000 masks (including the million donated by Santander Bank).
- 12,595 disposable sterile coveralls.
- 500,000 protection vinyl gloves.
All this material will be directed according to the government’s needs, alongside the High Sports Council (CSD).
