Villarreal CF will hand out 20,000 yellow flags and Tambors de Passió Almassora will make the Estadio de la Cerámica rumble in the run-up to the match against Valencia CF
Villarreal CF have organised a series of activities for the build-up to next Saturday’s match against Valencia CF (9pm CET), corresponding to Matchday 24 of the 2024/25 LALIGA EA Sports season, which will be played at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
To mark the derby, Villarreal CF will hand out 20,000 yellow flags so that the Submarine’s fans can completely dye the stands of the Estadio de la Cerámica in yellow.
The other big moment of the pre-game will take place just before the match with a spectacular light show and a great performance by the Asociación Cultural Tambors de Passió Almassora, a drum group founded in 1990 and considered one of the best in Spain. This entity is in charge of setting the most exciting beat in the early hours of Maundy Thursday when nearly 300 drums mark the new day with an impressive roar.
In this way, in this derby, Tambors de Passió will make the Estadio de la Cerámica rumble in the run-up to the match together with a spectacular light show, thus bringing one of the most traditional and representative things of the area closer to the fans.
More activities at the Fan Zone
The Fan Zone will start two hours before the match with a new edition of the 3v3 Groguet Tournament, which will be played on the inflatable pitches that are usually set up outside the Estadio de la Cerámica.
At the same time, from 7pm CET, the fun will also begin in the rest of the workshops and activities of the Fan Zone: face painting, craft workshop and inflatables. Likewise, thanks to Marzá’s sponsorship activation, the fans will be able to enjoy the exhibition of various vehicles in the same square.
Later, at 7pm CET, Mi lado rebelde soleado will entertain the fans with their performance as a participant in Groc Talent, the music competition promoted by Villarreal CF in collaboration with the SanSan Festival and the Vila-real Town Council.
Inmersión Villarreal will open its doors on the occasion of the derby. The opening hours will be from 11am to 1:30pm and from 4pm to 5:30pm. There will also be a session at 6pm., although this only includes a visit to the museum.
On this occasion, the fan club of the day will be Els Ports, who will organise the pre-game party at the APV headquarters and, afterwards, will take to the pitch to have their photo taken with the Villarreal CF starting XI.
