The initiative will celebrate its final event this season this Tuesday in the Yellows’ stadium
The best possible end. This Tuesday, the Estadio de la Cerámica will host the great end-of-season Endavant Igualtat party, celebrating the participation of the special centres across the province of Castellón. There will be games, such as the Yellows Academy Challenge, an inflatable 3v3 pitch, a blow-up goal, a target, karaoke and music throughout the day. Afterwards, there will be a handover of gifts and a final lunch for the 300 participants in the event. In total, during 2018/19, Endavant Igualtat has seen the involvement of 10 centres, working with their respective assigned teams from the Yellows Academy.
Once more, the Yellows Academy has continued backing Villarreal CF’s charity arm. Because of that, the club introduced the Endavant Igualtat initiative in the 2015/16. Unprecedented in Spain, each youth team from the academy’s 11-a-side outfits worked with a special centre in the Castellón province.
The club’s Psychology and Methodology Departments believe there is a clear way forward for educating and helping youth footballers: to help users of these centres in their personal development, with a social sensitivity according to others’ needs and difficulties, and to share their experiences with them. This exchange of values helps and favours growth for both parties.
The initiative consists in carrying out activities working together throughout the season, with meetings both at the centres, as well as at Villarreal’s facilities. When possible, members from the centres go to games to cheer on their teams at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).
The schedule for this Tuesday is the following:
- 10am CEST: Welcome for the charities and the teams.
- 10:15am CEST: Start of the planned activities.
- 12pm CEST: Handover of presents.
- 1pm CEST: Lunch in the Preferencia stand at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
