The Villarreal Women head coach analyses the upcoming match against CE Europa (Saturday, 4pm CEST)
Villarreal Women head coach Jordi Ferriols spoke to the media this Friday to preview the Yellows’ next fixture, which will take place this Saturday at 4pm CEST against CE Europa at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground.
After the draw against Real Betis, the Vila-real-born coach highlighted the importance of maintaining momentum: “We are doing very well. The run we are on is very positive. We picked up a point against Betis and we have to keep going in the same way. Now we play at home and we want to get the three points.”
Ferriols also underlined the need to grow stronger at home: “We have to make ourselves strong at home. That is our goal and we want to start achieving it from tomorrow.”
Looking ahead to the clash with the Catalan side, Ferriols expects a tough test: “It will be a difficult match. CE Europa are an intense team and they compete well. They are also an experienced side who have been working together for a long time. They play with a lot of rhythm and transition very well.”
Finally, Ferriols explained the keys to picking up points in the match: “We want to enjoy having the ball, play our football and win using our strengths. We need to find a balance between what we showed against Betis and what we did in the Copa de la Reina match in order to beat Europa.”
