The Villarreal boss highlighted that his team were capable of creating plenty of goalscoring opportunities
The Villarreal manager, Javi Calleja, was disappointed after the defeat against Real Valladolid, especially because of his side’s missed chances in front of goal: “We dominated from start to finish, but it’s hard for me to explain how we didn’t come away with a win. We had some really clear chances, we even had a penalty, but we weren’t clinical enough. The team played well enough to win the three points, but we didn’t come away with them in the end”.
The Yellows boss asserted that he has complete confidence in his players: “We have extraordinary forwards and we’re having a lot of chances that are not going in for us at the moment. We’re going to keep believing in the players we have up front because they’re great strikers”.
Lastly, Javi Calleja sent out a positive message: “There’s no need for us to be pessimistic. We have to pick up our heads and look forward. I’m sure that goals, and results, will come”.
