Marcelino is convinced of playing a better game than the first meeting this season
Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral appeared before the media in the press room of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground to talk about his team’s game against Real Sociedad tomorrow at the Reale Arena at 9pm CET.

Returning to winning ways
“We have better feelings than results. The results the team deserves are not in line with the victories we should have had in the last five games, but that’s football. We are competitive, we have a good dynamic and we hope to continue on this trajectory.”

“They are a team with a very solid structure, with a head coach who has been with them for many seasons and that makes them very dangerous. They are also a team in the top half of the table, who are still alive in the cup and in Europe.”
About the match
“If I knew what the key to winning was, we would win for sure. You can think that there are facets of the game that are important and being solvent in them can make it easier for you. For our part we have to be more and more effective in each of the two areas, that will make us a more competitive team.”

“They told me I was in the 500th, the 600th and now the 900th. It would be nice to celebrate with a win. Now we hope to be more competitive than in the first meeting this season, when the final result wasn’t fair. It also helps us to see how we are progressing because in that game we had only been working for a few weeks and now that we’ve been working for months, let’s see if we can show that the team is evolving.”
