Setién has assured that it will be a different game to the first meeting this season
Villarreal CF head coach Quique Setién has appeared at the press conference ahead of the Submarine’s match against Rayo Vallecano this Sunday at Vallecas, with kick-off at 7pm CEST.
Here is what he had to say:
Hope for the Champions League
“We all have a little hope of getting into the Champions League, but we also understand the difficulties. Real Sociedad are a team that have done well all year and it’s normal that they are there. We have to win and, as long as there is a chance, fight until the end”.
Rayo Vallecano
“They are a team with personality. They are aggressive and put a lot of pressure on you, they don’t let you breathe. They also have a lot of quality in many of their players, which has led them to have an extraordinary season.”
What sort of match to expect
“Rayo Vallecano are a team that don’t wait for their opponents in their own half. It will be a game of alternatives, entertaining and different to the first meeting between the two teams because I think we are now playing better and are more inspired on a general level.”
A tight LaLiga
“We see it every game. It’s true that the league table can sometimes be misleading, but the reality is that the difference is very small and you can see it in the results of every game. Nobody wins easily.”
