The Andorran goalkeeper will join the Andalusian side for the 2025/26 season
Villarreal CF and Córdoba CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Iker Álvarez, who will play in the Spanish Second Division with the blanquiverdes from the 2025/26 season onwards.
A product of the Villarreal CF youth academy, the Andorran goalkeeper has been a key player for the Yellow reserve team. In the 2021/22 season, he helped the Mini Submarine earn promotion to the Segunda División, where he defended the Villarreal B goal for two campaigns. He was also regularly called up to the first team, although he did not make an official debut.
The club would like to thank him for his professionalism, commitment and dedication throughout his long and successful time at the Yellows Academy, and wishes him the very best of luck in his new professional challenge.
