Javi Calleja was satisfied with his team’s display against Maccabi Tel Aviv
The Villarreal CF Manager, Javi Calleja, assured the media that, despite losing 0-1 to Maccabi Tel Aviv, the team put on a great display: “I see the game positively, the result is not what we wanted, but both the first team and academy players stood up and were counted on the pitch tonight”.
Ahead of this weekend’s match against FC Barcelona, Calleja recognised the the Europa League match has served to give some players a rest and get some others back fit: “We are getting players back and for the weekend we will add several to the squad that have come back from injury”.
