The Villarreal CF president predicts that next year will be full of success and happiness for the Yellow family
The president of Villarreal CF, Fernando Roig, raised a traditional Christmas toast with the different representatives of the media following the Yellow club’s news, after the General Shareholders’ meeting was held. The Yellow president took the opportunity to analyse what happened during 2019 and to wish the Yellow fans the best for 2020.
The Villarreal CF president mentioned the difficulty of a year full of ups and downs, during which the Submarine, with effort and commitment, finally fulfilled the aim of remaining in the Primera División: “It has been a complicated year. Last season we managed to remain in the top-flight and this season we have restructured the squad that is giving us good results”.
In addition, Roig himself gave his best wishes for 2020, which already awaits Villarreal CF and his family with open arms: “I hope that next year and the half of the season that we have left will be successful and joyful for the Yellows. The main objective as always is to secure another season in LaLiga, but we do not give up on any other aims”.
The president did not want to forget the great work carried out this year by the Yellows Academy, the foundation of the Villarreal CF project, which year after year is becoming one of the most important nationwide: “The most exciting thing is our academy, where we are growing and developing better and better players. We have to aspire to have a great first team and a youth setup that has the best of the best”.
Finally, Fernando Roig, as the highest authority of Villarreal CF, addressed the Yellow fans to wish them a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year, which surely awaits great success and joy for the club: “I wish the fans a Happy Holidays, and hope that they have a good Christmas and that 2020 is a great year for both them and the club, and that we have good health to enjoy it.”
