

The Catalan striker played his 100th match for the club against Real Madrid
Against Real Madrid, Gerard Moreno played in his 100th match in all competitions wearing the Villarreal shirt. The Yellow Submarine forward has played in 58 LaLiga matches, 18 in the Europa League, 14 in Segunda División and nine in the Copa del Rey. During that time, he has scored 31 goals. The academy graduate made his debut for the first team in the second tier of Spanish football in the 2012/13 season. After spending a year on loan at RCD Mallorca (2013/14), he returned to the Yellows in the 2014/15 campaign. After spending three seasons with RCD Espanyol, he came back to La Cerámica last July (2018/19).
Villarreal’s No.7, who scored the Yellows first goal at the Santiago Bernabéu, has become a key piece of Javi Calleja’s puzzle, thanks to his hard-work, commitment, professionalism and good performances on the pitch. The striker, from Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona) has scored 12 goals this season, which have helped his team in crucial matches.
