The schedule is now confirmed for the first leg of the second round of the play-offs for promotion to to the ‘LaLiga 123’ (Spain’s Second Division) between Villarreal B and CF Fuenlabrada. The tie will be played at the Fernando Torres stadium this Saturday at 6pm and will be televised live on beIN Sports.
CF Fuenlabrada got through to the second round of the play-offs after knocking out Real Sociedad B as their goal away from home was worth double (0-0 first leg and 1-1 second leg). In the regular season, the Madrid side finished third in Group I of Second Division B, accumulating 65 points in 38 games with 56 goals for and 31 against.
In their ranks they have some ex-Villarreal Academy players such as Marcos Gullón, Cristóbal Márquez and Vila-real native Fran García. They also have experienced players like ‘Cata’ Díaz, Codina and Mikel Arruabarrena, among others.
