The Villarreal CF Manager was proud of his team’s solid performance vs Granada
The Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, affirmed that his side put in a good, clean performance against Granada and the 2-0 victory was a fair result: “We wanted to win and the team created many chances to deserve the victory. The lads were solid and picked up a fair result. It’s great to have players that don’t usually play doing so well out there. It was a really complete game”.
Despite the numerous injuries in the side, the players performed to a great level against a team that needed to win: “We changed it up today. We aimed to exploit the wings and the movement of Jonathan Dos Santos, Castillejo and Soriano allowed us to create danger from there. We knew that we had to have more control of the match and it worked out well”.
Lastly, the Yellows Manager stated that this win will lift the team’s morale ahead of the match against Sevilla (Sunday, 12pm CET): “We wanted to travel to Sevilla with a good result behind us”.
