This Wednesday, Villarreal completed a planned training session in Russia ahead of tomorrow’s match in the Europa League. The Yellows trained at the Saint Petersburg Stadium, the scene of the game against FC Zenit (Thursday, 6:55pm CET). The match will be shown in Spain on Movistar+ Liga de Campeones.
The Yellows have got to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League after beating Sporting CP 2-1 on aggregate (0-1 and 1-1) in the Round of 32. Villarreal are one of three teams left in the competition who are unbeaten. The Yellows’ return to Spain is expected once the match against the Russian side finishes, arriving at Castellón Airport.
